My stay at the Lotus Pang Suan Kaew Hotel was a mixed bag. The large pool was a highlight, and I enjoyed the spacious room, but I faced some real hassles with the elevator situation and unhelpful staff. The wifi was a bust during my visit, which was frustrating, especially with all the conference chaos happening.

Rooms
7.0
The room I stayed in was quite spacious with a great view, though it did have some dated features and low ceilings in certain areas. I was surprised at how the layout of the hotel was designed around an open atrium, which was nice.
Service
5.0
Customer service varied greatly. While I found the bell staff friendly, the reception staff were often unhelpful and indifferent to my needs. The long waits for the elevators were also a big drawback.
Location
8.0
The hotel was conveniently located next to a shopping mall, making it easy to grab snacks and essentials. However, accessing the hotel entry was awkward due to the building’s layout which required a bit of a walk, especially if the mall wasn't open.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was pretty basic with a mix of Asian and Western items, but the lines were long and they struggled to keep the food stocked. I appreciated the fresh fruit options available.
Facilities
6.0
The large pool area was welcoming, but the furnishings around it felt a bit shabby. The workout facilities weren't impressive either, which was disappointing.

I had mixed feelings about my stay at Lotus Pang Suan Kaew Hotel. While the room itself was spacious and visually impressive, the service left much to be desired, especially during busy times with large conferences. The internet was unreliable throughout my visit, which added to the frustrations I faced with the dining options and staff responsiveness.

Rooms
6.0
The room was beautiful and spacious, though there were some cleanliness issues like stained bedsheets. It felt a bit worn and could use some general upkeep.
Service
5.0
Service was often unhelpful and inattentive, especially during peak times when staff seemed overwhelmed. It can be difficult to get assistance.
Location
7.0
The hotel's location is actually quite good, being close to the attractions and a mall, but I found it tricky to access the main entrance.
Dining
5.0
The food offerings didn't really cater to western tastes, and the breakfast service was chaotic, especially during busy mornings. I felt their hours were inconsistent too.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities include a huge pool, which I enjoyed, but the internet was spotty and I had issues with the elevator service during conferences.

I had a decent stay at Lotus Pang Suan Kaew Hotel. While the place feels a bit dated and could use some maintenance, it offered spacious rooms and a nice pool. The breakfast was tasty, and the staff were friendly. However, the areas surrounding the hotel felt a bit deserted and poorly lit, which can make going out a bit uncomfortable.

Rooms
8.0
My room was spacious with all the amenities you’d expect like a kettle and a fridge with free water. However, it was showing signs of age with some old decor and a hard mattress, which is a common thing in Thai hotels. I appreciated the large windows and the view, but I had to take care with the window since I was on the 12th floor without security railings when they opened it for ventilation.
Service
8.0
The staff were uniformly polite and friendly, making me feel welcome during my stay. They even organized a trip for me to an elephant camp, although communication was a bit tricky at times. I did find it odd that they weren’t very accommodating about early check-in, but they did allow me to check in when I arrived early from Bangkok.
Location
7.0
The hotel is conveniently located next to a shopping mall and isn't far from tourist attractions, though I wouldn’t want to walk around the back areas after dark as it felt deserted and poorly lit. It's definitely not ideal for those scared of the dark, but getting to the night market only took about 15 minutes with a cheap taxi.
Dining
8.0
Breakfast was a highlight for me, with a variety of Asian dishes and delicious fruit, although it could get a bit crowded at times. I enjoyed a meal by the pool that was quite tasty, but sometimes the dining area felt chaotic and not everything that was advertised was available.
Facilities
7.0
The pool area was very nice and definitely the best feature of the hotel, providing a nice escape where I spent a lot of my time. However, the fitness facilities left much to be desired, and the lack of options for filling water bottles was a downside. Overall, the amenities were okay but could use improvement.

I found my stay at the Lotus Pang Suan Kaew Hotel to be a unique experience. While the hotel has potential with its spacious rooms and helpful staff, the outdated decor and slow elevators were quite disappointing. The breakfast was decent, but nothing special. Overall, it met my needs but didn't exceed my expectations.

Rooms
7.0
My room was huge and offered a beautiful view of the pool, although the furnishings felt a bit shabby and dated. The space was well-lit and the shower pressure was fantastic, which I really appreciated.
Service
7.0
The staff were mostly polite and ready to assist when needed, though I did notice a lack of staff presence in certain areas. They were friendly during my interactions, but a little more engagement would have enhanced the experience.
Location
8.0
The hotel was conveniently located next to a mall, which made it easy to grab food or groceries. It was a bit out of the way for some of the main attractions, but I could walk to the old town and hop on a tuk-tuk to the river with ease.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was standard with a good variety, including a standout omelet option. While I did find it satisfactory, it didn’t blow me away, especially compared to the local eateries I tried.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel had a huge pool that was never too crowded and a well-equipped gym. However, some facilities like the elevators were frustratingly slow, which impacted my overall experience.

5.8/10

While my stay at Lotus Pang Suan Kaew Hotel had some redeeming qualities like location and spacious rooms, the overall experience was marred by outdated facilities and inconsistent service. The internet connection was poor, making it difficult to plan my days and the dining options were quite limited. Honestly, I would think twice before returning to this hotel.

Rooms
6.0
My room was spacious with a nice view, but the decor felt dated and there were some maintenance issues, like an old shower and stained linens.
Service
5.0
I found the service lacking; staff members seemed untrained and communication was a challenge. They often didn't seem eager to help.
Location
8.0
On the positive side, the hotel's location is convenient, being just a short walk to the old city and close to a shopping mall.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast was decent but overpriced for what it offered, and the dining options didn't cater well to Western tastes.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities were limited, with some amenities such as the gym lacking adequate lighting and a poorly functioning elevator during my stay.
